We all have a natural desire to be accepted in our social sphere; no one likes rejection. Yet Jesus promises that his followers WILL BE rejected and hated on account of Him. This is a fact which many North American Christians in the past two centuries have been able to contest, but Jesus tells us in Matthew 24 that the ferocity of persecution and rejection will intensify as the end of the age draws nearer. How do we get okay with this, so that we do not compromise when the screws tighten? How do we override our "herd instincts?" This message serves as a beginning of an answer to that question.
