Is. 40:29-31; Lk. 10:2-3

This message launches a nine-week focus on Prayer at BFAC. If the church is the body where God lives by His Spirit (Eph. 2:22), then Prayer is the breathing. The capacity for action in this body is limited by its prayer supply. Just as the activity and breathing rate are connected physically, so is prayer to spiritual activity. We can survive as a church on shallow prayers, just as a body can survive by shallow breathing - until it tries to move something. As BFAC is seeking to move in the community, our Prayer focus must adjust to facilitate that motion. Drawing on Scripture and quotes from noteable missionaries, this message seeks to make prayer as core to the church life as breath is to the natural life.
